How To Use Your Lampe Berger

Fill your Lampe Berger with perfume using the funnel.
We recommend filling 2/3 of your Lampe.

Insert the burner into the Lampe Berger,
put the snuffer on and wait 20 minutes.

Remove the snuffer, light the burner with a match or lighter.

Set a timer and keep the burner lit for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes, blow out the flame.

Place the safety mount,
your Lampe is now ready and working its magic!

When you are finished, place the snuffer to stop diffusion.
We recommend 30 minutes of catalysis per use.

Lampe Refills
Fill your Lampe Berger no more than two-thirds full with a Maison Berger Paris catalytic lamp refill.
Allow the flame to burn for 2 minutes before blowing it out. This gives the burner enough time to reach the temperature required for catalytic diffusion. Avoid leaving the flame burning for much longer, as this may cause the burner head to blacken.
As a general guide, allow approximately 1 minute of diffusion per m³ of room volume, with around 30 minutes of catalytic diffusion per use recommended for an average-sized room.
When changing fragrances, allow the burner to air-dry completely before using a different fragrance.
We do not recommend mixing Maison Berger fragrances. The exception is Air Pur, which can be combined with any Maison Berger home fragrance to soften its intensity.
No. Only use Maison Berger Paris refills specifically formulated for catalytic lamps. Refills intended for other types of diffusers have different formulations and are not suitable for use with the Lampe Berger catalytic system.
The snuffer keeps your Lampe Berger securely closed when it is not in use and should always be replaced after diffusion. It stops the catalytic process by preventing oxygen from reaching the burner, allowing it to cool.
Keeping the lamp closed also helps prevent the alcohol in the fragrance from evaporating. If the burner is left exposed for too long, the remaining fragrance may no longer ignite correctly the next time you use your lamp.
Maison Berger advises against using the Lampe Berger in the presence of infants under two years old, pregnant women, and individuals who may be particularly sensitive or undergoing intensive medical treatment. The alcohol present in home fragrances may cause discomfort, such as headaches, in sensitive individuals.
Maison Berger catalytic lamp fragrances are formulated with pharmaceutical-grade isopropyl alcohol together with natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients. Each fragrance undergoes rigorous quality testing, with careful attention given to the selection of raw materials.

Care & Maintenance
Air Pur
To help maintain your burner's performance, occasionally use Air Pur to clean the catalytic system. Fill and operate your Lampe Berger with Air Pur for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, just as you would with a regular fragrance.
Never clean the burner with water or any other liquid. As a general guide, Maison Berger recommends replacing the burner after approximately 200 uses, or about once a year, depending on frequency of use.
If you do not plan to use your Lampe Berger for several weeks, remove the burner and allow it to air-dry completely before storing it in a dry place. This helps protect the metal components from oxidation caused by prolonged contact with fragrance.
Keep the Lampe Berger itself securely closed with the snuffer until you are ready to use it again.
